I need to step up my game, you guys.
Anyway, on to more sub-par excitement...the first two days of the Super Sexy Sugar Cleanse were great, but by Day 3 I've slowly started to notice the cravings creeping back into my life. Suddenly I miss cupcakes. I can't stop thinking about the Coconut Oil Chocolate. The occasional Vanilla Soy Latte I used to enjoy from Starbucks has suddenly left a gaping hole in my life.
However, I've also slowly started to make some cool new discoveries. For example, the magic of dry rolled oats. I usually cook oatmeal with steel cut oats, but who knew that rolled oats are really good eaten dry? Especially if, say, they are coating a banana? And who knew that the Vanilla Rooibos tea from Starbucks is pretty much awesome?! It is sweet, spicy, and smells like apple cider and Christmas.
I've also learned that I eat best when my meals are planned out. There is a lot less time spent nibbling in front of the refrigerator and settling for veggie burgers when you already know that it'll take you five minutes to chop, toss, and end up with a hot delicious stir fry.
Laura Jill made this list of bloggers who are participating in the cleanse, so please feel free to check them out! All of these ladies are freaking fantastic, so click around and support your girls!

This is totally random, but does anybody care if I post at night versus in the morning? Anyone? Bueller? I don't know if people read blogs more in the morning or evening, so if you have a preference just let me know!

You can blog whenever it makes you happy to blog, Andria! I check my google reader more often than I probably should, so I'll read it whenever you write.
I'm surprised at my lack of cravings...except that now I can't stop thinking about cupcakes, LOL!
LJ
you should definitely make averie's coconut banana cookie bites, i omitted the vanilla extract and sugar and they are superb!!! they're helping me out a lot!
and you should blog whenever you wanna blog lady!!!
have a fab day 4!!!
=)
I eat dry oats, too...my brother thinks I'm the biggest weirdo, but they're good! Especially with a little drizzle of honey to make them all sticky. Yum :)
Blog whenever you like- God knows I spend way too much time reading when I should be doing other things, so I'll read whenever you post!
Sugar cleansing is HARD! When I did that crazy ACT cleanse, I wanted a cupcake sooo bad! How long do have to stay off sugar? The worst part for me was when I got back on sugar, I totally went crazy. I had like 5 cupcakes in one night (granted, I'd also had a lot of wine that night ... so my resolve went to shit). Stay strong. You can do it. I found that medjool dates stuffed with raw almond butter was the best dessert substitute ever!
As for when you post, I like mornings because that's when I check blogs...but I post at night on mine, so who am I to tell you what to do? :-)
You post whenever you have the time, love! I'll read morning, noon, or night. :)
I need to check out all of these Sugar Cleansing ladies' blogs!
If you are craving sweets, do yourself a favor & make Kristen Suzanne's Cherry Chocolate Bomb Shake!!! (I linked to it on Veg Out! today.) I seriously can't shut the hell up about it. I omitted the hemp seeds & added a splash of almond extract. (I had to make at least ONE change, right???) ;-) It tastes like a sinful dessert, but it's so healthy! You could even omit the hemp protein powder if you don't have it. It's amazing.
I definitely had some cravings today for something sweet! When we first started it didn't seem like a long time and now it seems like it's getting longer..
I like to post at night too because I just don't get a chance in the morning, but morning readers could just read when they wake up! :)
i felt this way when i had to cut out huge groups of food from food allergies, gluten, soy, dairy, eggs ( i was a gluten eating vegetarian at the time) and it was like shock. I feel your pain girl, you can do it, things will get better after the initial detox is over.
I usually check blogs at night. But of course, you do what works for you. :)
Oh and I think getting a haircut IS exciting! Even if it's just a trim! :) Does that make ME look boring?! Oh dear...
:D
